Great work with these larger watercolors! Wonderful to see them.
Thanks again Suzanne! I'm enjoying having a little more room to spread out, especially since I splurged on some new brushes that hold a lot of water and color.
The best of the series till now for me.
Love the space and colour of this Mineke. I keep trying with my watercolours, but have a long way to go!
Beautiful blues! And I love the way of painting the city far away. Lots of details...
Lovely cool colors. In the art classes I'm taking, our instructor emphasizes working with large brushes to prevent one from putting in too much detail. Also helps paint on larger paper. Nice to see your larger work. It's great.

Thank you very much, Prabal.
Hi Liz, thanks so much. Keep trying - as long as you enjoy it, it'll be worth the effort.
Happy to hear from you again Yasemin. I'm glad you like it. The detail in the distance is just the trickery of suggestion really.
Thanks very much, Jean. I think your teacher is right. Quill mops in various sizes are great, because they hold a lot of water and color, but also come to a nice point when you want to add a suggestion of detail somewhere. Just be patient for the paper to dry... it can take a long time.
Very interessing and beautiful work. Bravo
Merci beaucoup Pierre.
What a beauty. I like quill mop brushes too, just don't use them as well. One of my favorite painters, Edward Wesson used these brushes almost exclusively. Outstanding watercolor.
Thanks very much Villager. I admire Wesson's work enormously, didn't know he used quill mops almost exclusively. Certainly an incentive to persist with them.
Hallo,
ich bewundere Ihre Art zu malen.
wunderschön
viele Grüße Werner
Vielen dank, Werner.
