Painting of the Day.
Watercolor, 5"x7" $100
(Photo reference courtesy of Ahmet Sürücü. Thanks Ahmet).
I felt that I would be setting myself up for failure and discouragement if I tried to jump into a "challenge" painting right away after a painting hiatus of about two weeks, so I did this today for fun and as a warm-up exercise.

I don't think the word 'failure' should be in your vocabulary - you are too good for that! Anything you put your hand to turns out magnificently.
He is soooo cute..... maybe you should paint a bird series like your cat series.

You are too kind, Liz. Believe me, I'm on familiar terms with failure. After not painting anything for two weeks, I was surprised this turned out good enough to post.
That's an idea, Maggie. I'll think about it, but I feel that I must get back to my city scenes, though I love birds, and they are a lot of fun to paint, too.
What a sweet bird, captured beautifully. Love the birds, and you put your "stamp" on this one.
Failure and you??!! I can't immagine that word and your name together in the same sentence :D This kırlangıç is lovely. Keep coming! Can't wait to see the new one.
Thank you very much, Sue.
Thank you too, Yasemin. You're very kind, but you should see my reject pile. I use the back side of failed paintings for testing colors, and never run out...
